One of the biggest risk for startups is not being able to raise enough funds and perish in the valley of death. We are talking about 90% of startups here that end up with failure.
So we have to pay enough attention not only in our idea and development peroid but parallely giving efforts on raising funds by being visible enough to investors. Therefore we attend to most of the well known events in Europe to be able to explain our business concept and idea to investors. Our founder Mr. Hakan Yedier will be attending to Scale Up for Europe event that will be held in Porto, Portugal between 25-28 May, 2016. We were funded by European Commission grant funding programme, SME Instrument Phase1, that has started on first of March 2016 with a duration of 6 months. This 6 months of work will be the fundamental of Phase2 application as well.
We are working hard to be one of the very few grantees of Phase2 of SME Instrument. Phase2 grantees can be co-funded by European Commission up to 2.5 million EUR. Horizon 2020 grant funding programme is the largest in the world with its 80 billion EUR fund at hand.
We were invited to a pitching session at Hannover Messe German Startups Association booth. It was an interesting experience to pitch here while most of the pitching startup companies were from software and on-line business platforms. We were the only company developing something tangible :)
We see this as a positive feedback while most of the attentions are all around on-line world nowadays. Hannover Messe Industrial Automation is the largest and well known internation fair for industrial applications, innovations and technologies. This year opening ceremony was held by President Obama of United Sates and Chancellor Merkel of Federal Republic of Germany.
The main thema this year was industry 4.0 where many new advancements was presented at the fair. We were invited by European Commission as SME Instrument Champions where we found many opportunities to meet other champions, commissioners and investors. Luckly also many partnership opporunuties arised while visiting the booths of exhebitors. |
